Company History


Cowan Associates was set up as a one man business on 1 May 1997.

Following steady growth, Lianne Aitken joined the business full time in July 1999.

Since then we have employed part time staff to help out at really busy times, but in order to maintain the strong personal contact that we have with existing clients, decided to limit the growth of the business.


Personal History


Bill Cowan has been involved in the licensed trade since the mid eighties, managing a busy town centre hotel, and owning his own hotel.

Migrating to Australia in 1991, he joined the largest stocktaking company there, becoming a senior member of staff within a year, and staying with the company for some four years.

Returning to Scotland in late 1996, he briefly joined another stocktaking company before setting up the present business.
